A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Osaka Takoyaki and St. Louis Archies.

The Osaka Takoyaki got a stellar effort from pitcher Hyeok Kim, helping Osaka score a win over the visiting St. Louis Archies, 8-2. Osaka's record now stands at 56-55, placing them third in the Federation League Birdbrains Division.

Early in the game, designated hitter Jim Garnet had a 2-run home run for Osaka. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Takoyaki on top, 2-0.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said St. Louis manager Terry Schneekloth.
