The Havana Sugar Kings picked up a win at Sugardome II, knocking off the San Antonio Aztecs, 5-2. On the mound for Havana was right-hander Rafael Torres. He played a key role in the triumph. With this game in the books, Havana is 20-18, San Antonio 17-22.

Had Ken Sankey not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Sankey hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Sugar Kings.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Torres. "It sure beats the alternative."
