Dublin Gets 7-2 Win
|
The Dublin Porters picked up a win at Ballpark of East Haddam, knocking off the East Haddam Hyenas, 7-2. On the mound for Dublin was left-hander Jason Hendsbee. He played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Hendsbee, now 5-4. He tossed 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. With the win, Dublin goes to 59-54, while the Hyenas fall to 43-70.
Dublin used the hitting of Ciro Montorsi to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Porters on top, 5-1. For the game, Montorsi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"I thought we played a nice game," Hendsbee told the Dublin Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
