Buffalo Buffalo starter Danny Staley pitched a strong game against the St. Louis Archies at The Greenhouse, leading the Buffalo to victory, 4-3. Buffalo reliever Daniel Hernandez picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Spencer Hay was tagged with the loss. St. Louis's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 3-3, former first round draft pick Nick Koonts won it for Buffalo. With a runner on 2nd, Koonts hit a first pitch screwball from Spencer Hay for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 4-3 win.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said St. Louis skipper Terry Schneekloth, "and it cost us."
