Lansing and Yellowstone played a hard-fought contest.

The Lansing Red Storm earned a close win over the Yellowstone Super Volcano, thanks in part to Jon Flint. The Lansing right-hander, who finished 2nd in the FL in innings pitched with 223.0 in 2044, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Flint yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-5. Cameron Elson picked up the save, his 9th.

Lansing used a clutch hit from Gregorio Gonzalez to snatch the win. The first baseman belted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Storm ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"Jon went out and did what we needed," said Lansing manager GM TDen.

The Red Storm sport a record of 15-26.
