Setsujiro Takahashi did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Arizona Desert Storm from losing the game, 4-3, to the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs in 10 innings at Bulldogs Ballpark. Takahashi was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Sudbury reliever Brett Richardson was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Greg McDowell. The win gives Sudbury a season record of 26-20.

The Blueberry Bulldogs got a clutch hit from second baseman Joe Seelye. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Blueberry Bulldogs.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Seelye said.
