Porters Win at East Haddam, 6-4
|
Dublin starter Landon Michaels pitched well against the East Haddam Hyenas at Ballpark of East Haddam. The left-hander led his team to a win, 6-4. Michaels, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. Tyrese Bunch closed the game out for Dublin, earning his 2nd save.
Dublin used a well-timed hit by Ricardo Carachure to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Porters ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We'll build on this win," said Carachure.
The defeat makes East Haddam 4-1.
