Pizzas Lose Despite Valiant Effort by Hamburg
Detroit first baseman Rourke Hamburg had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 3-2, to Osaka at Takoyaki Park. Hamburg went 4-4 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Mark Foglesong notched his 5th save of the season. The Takoyaki move to 59-56 with the win, while the Pizzas drop to 59-56.

The Takoyaki got an important contribution from shortstop Steve Barone, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 2-1 cutter to right for a run-scoring double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Takoyaki ahead, 3-1.

"Feels good to get the job done," Barone said after the game.
