David Mareno was superb against Buffalo. The right-hander, who is tied for 4th in the FL in strikeouts with 69, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Red Storm victory. The score was 4-1. The save went to Cameron Elson, number 12 for him. The Red Storm now own a record of 18-29.
Tommy Biggs, who led the AL in doubles with 58 in 2044, helped out the Lansing cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Mareno said.
