Knights Lose, 7-1, to Los Angeles
|
At Brooklyn Coliseum, the Brooklyn Knights and Los Angeles Kings were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Toby Guinn, who finished 4th in the AL in ERA with 3.06 in 2039, was terrific for the Los Angeles Kings in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Brooklyn Knights. His performance earned Guinn rave reviews. Guinn yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-6.
Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of Mike Bitzer to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Kings the lead, 3-1. For the game, Bitzer had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I didn't leave too many pitches out over the plate," said Guinn.
The last-place Knights have dropped 5 straight games.
