Getting a good performance from left fielder Omar Gallegos, the Buffalo Buffalo defeated the Kyiv Cossacks, 7-2. Gallegos was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Buffalo. Sam Gleghorn, who leads the AL with a .595 slugging percentage, was the winner. He's now 6-9. The loser was Marco Pagan. Danny Rutledge earned the save, his 4th in 8 tries.

The Cossacks had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Buffalo going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Sam Gleghorn came to the plate. Gleghorn hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 fastball from Kyiv hurler Marco Pagan. It was Gleghorn's 22nd double of the year.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Gallegos told the Buffalo Daily News.

The win makes Buffalo 55-63.
