Hyenas Continue Skid, Thanks to Olson, Sugar Kings
|
The Havana Sugar Kings beat the East Haddam Hyenas, 7-4, at Ballpark of East Haddam. Billy Olson, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Luis Lezama got the win, improving to 9-5. He held the Hyenas to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. East Haddam now owns a losing streak of 5 games.
Cesar Lopez provided a timely hit. The Havana third baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sugar Kings on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
