Deere Helps Brooklyn Edge Waikiki

Fans watched the Brooklyn Knights and the Waikiki Wayfinders fight to the finish.
A 4-RBI performance from the former first round draft pick Josh Deere helped the Brooklyn Knights beat the Waikiki Wayfinders, 4-3. Mark Foglesong, who finished 2nd in the AL in wins with 16 in 2036, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts.
With the game tied, 3-3, in the bottom of the fifth, Deere had a key at-bat for Brooklyn. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Deere hit a run-scoring single off Cameron Elson, making the score 4-3, Knights.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Deere.
The win hiked the Brooklyn record to 70-51.
