92's Deal Buffalo 6-2 Defeat
|
Saskatchewan parlayed a decent outing from starter John Potter into a solid win over the Buffalo Buffalo. The final score was 6-2. Potter, the winner, moves to 8-6. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Satoharu Sato was credited with the save for Saskatchewan, his 27th of the season.
Saskatchewan used the timely hitting of Wayne Wilbur to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the 92's on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but he made it count.
