Pizzas Send Arizona Home with 3-1 Loss
|
John Hoover pitched a gem to lead Detroit to victory over the Arizona Desert Storm, 3-1. The Desert Storm, at 59-62, have lost 4 in a row.
Jose Caravaggio, who leads the AL in total bases with 261, had a direct impact on the outcome. Caravaggio contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Detroit up, 2-1.
