The East Haddam Hyenas faced a tough opponent in Havana pitcher Eric McKinney, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of East Haddam by a final score of 2-1 in 10 innings. McKinney went 8 innings and allowed no runs. John Motz, now 1-6, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The Hyenas saw their win-loss record go to 46-74. At the same time, the Sugar Kings fell to 68-52.

The Hyenas got a clutch hit from third baseman Adam Haglund. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hyenas.
