The Yellowstone Super Volcano scooped up a win at Volcano Ballpark, dumping the Hanoi Dragon Warriors, 3-2. John Griese, who is tied for 8th in the AL with a 1.19 WHIP, was essential to his team's success. Nate Tonn nailed down his 3rd save. Yellowstone occupies third place in the Alliance League Dimwits Division at 24-24.

Had Doug Godwin not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Godwin hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Super Volcano.

"Every loss hurts," said Hanoi manager GM Schnee. "But this was a tough one."
