Kyiv starter Mark Powers pitched well against the St. Louis Archies at Team2 Ballpark. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The Cossacks saw their win-loss record go to 25-24. At the same time, the Archies fell to 28-19.

Kyiv used the timely hitting of Rod Garcia to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cossacks on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Garcia told the Kyiv Herald.
