92's Topple Kings with Late Rally
|
Saskatchewan got a strong outing from Mark Foglesong as the 92's defeated the Los Angeles Kings, 3-2, at Sportsman's Park. Reliever Satoharu Sato picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Jon Ogden took the loss. Nelson Gonzalez earned the save for Saskatchewan, his 11th of the year.
Saskatchewan used the timely hitting of Josh May to capture the win. The catcher socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the 92's ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I had a good game plan," said Foglesong. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Ken Fantetti said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
Their 26-26 record puts the 92's second in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division.
