Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day, so it was a special occasion for Claws's Leo Tamayo at Sea Eagles Ballpark. Tamayo put up a 5-for-7 line against the Sapporo Sea Eagles, swinging the bat with authority all day despite his club's eventual 25-18 loss.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Tamayo said after the game. "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but it's disappointing to lose."

Disappointed or not, he still gets his name in the record books. Leo Tamayo struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.

This season, Tamayo is swinging the bat at a .358 rate with 121 hits in 338 at-bats. To date he has hit 8 home runs, scored 63 runs and driven in 73.
