The Oklahoma City Hooks stopped the Long Island Ducks by a score of 9-2 at Hooks Ballpark, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Jalen Washington. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Washington said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Washington did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Ducks.

"Not much that I can say," offered Long Island manager Sergio Aguirre. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
