The Kyiv Cossacks soundly defeated the Arizona Desert Storm, 11-2, at Desert Storm Stadium. Eddie Tramacchi let his bat do the talking. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Kyiv. Kyiv pitcher Jimmy Gold got the win, upping his record to 8-4. Ivan Chavez got the loss. The Cossacks saw their win-loss record go to 71-52. At the same time, the Desert Storm fell to 61-62.

In the top of the third, Tramacchi had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Ivan Chavez that staked the Cossacks to a 4-2 lead.
