Beavers second baseman Sergio Garced left his mark on his team's 5-2 win over the Brooklyn Knights. Garced, who led the AL in extra base hits with 86 in 2039, slugged 2 home runs for Portland in the contest. Earning the save was Andy Buhrke. He's now cashed in 28 of 31 save opportunities. With the victory, the Beavers upped their record to 64-60.

Aaron Jeffers dealt the Knights a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Portland leading 1-0, Jeffers hit a first pitch sinker for a 2-run single.

Garced called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
