Takoyaki Prevail, 4-3, Over Arizona
|
Arizona got a terrific performance from pitcher Kevin Spencer, but it wasn't enough to beat the Osaka Takoyaki. Osaka won the Takoyaki Park contest, 4-3. Spencer threw 7.0 innings allowing 4 runs for the losing team. Now 59-68, Arizona has dropped 10 games in a row.
Chris Boening drove in 2 runs for Osaka. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, Boening had a clutch at-bat. Facing Arizona hurler Kevin Spencer, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Takoyaki a 4-3 lead.
"We were the better team," crowed Boening.
