Sudbury left fielder Albert Bencomo was instrumental in helping the Blueberry Bulldogs triumph, 5-3, over the East Haddam Hyenas. Bencomo went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Nate Yarbrough, credited with the win in relief, is now 10-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. With the victory, the Blueberry Bulldogs record stands at 69-58.

Bencomo had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch curveball from Jason Derrick, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Blueberry Bulldogs a 4-3 lead. It was the 20th double of the year for Bencomo.

Sudbury manager Coach John commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
