Archies Flatten Hyenas, 9-1
|
St. Louis starter Spencer Hay ran into little resistance from East Haddam hitters, as his team cruised to victory, 9-1. The winner was Hay. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Justin Madsen. The first-place Archies lifted their record to 83-46.
Danny Cuello hit a 2-run home run off Justin Madsen in the bottom of the first, which put the Archies ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Cuello had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Hay.
