Lansing right-hander Vicente Tejeda pitched his team to victory over the Kyiv Cossacks at Ballpark of Atlanta. The final score was 3-2. Sergio Bahena finished the game for Lansing and earned his 3rd save. After today's action, Lansing sits at 52-82; Kyiv slips to 75-59.

Brian Bashaw had a big 2-run home run for the Red Storm in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Lansing leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Justin Madsen, who is on pace for 260 strikeouts this season, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Red Storm on top, 3-0.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Kyiv manager Boris Lahutin. "But we decided not to take it."
