Buffalo Gets 4-3 Win
|
David Moses pitched well, but the San Antonio Aztecs still lost the game, falling, 4-3, to the Buffalo Buffalo at Estadio Azteca. The winning pitcher was two-time Great Glove Award winner Josh Pierce. He tossed 113 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 11 hits. Randy Nelson recorded his 18th save for Buffalo.
The Buffalo got a big at-bat from left fielder Matt Nagy. For the game, Nagy went 1 for 3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 3-2 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Nagy told the Buffalo Today.
With the win, Buffalo raised its record to 31-24.
