Gonzalez Goes Deep Twice in 5-1 Knights Win
|
The Brooklyn Knights grabbed a win, 5-1, over the San Antonio Aztecs at Estadio Azteca. Brooklyn center fielder Esteban Gonzalez hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The first-place Knights, at 83-61, lead the Alliance League Boneheads Division by 8 games.
Gonzalez had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 fastball from Nick Castillo, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Knights a 4-1 lead. It was the 36th home run of the year for Gonzalez.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Brooklyn manager Enoch Tang. "It's usually not just one thing."
