Despite a great performance by Los Angeles designated hitter Alex Cadena, the Pittsburgh Yinzers defeated the Kings by the score of 8-5 at PNC Park. Cadena went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Andy Buhrke picked up his 43rd save of the season. Pittsburgh is now 85-62, 13 games up in the Alliance League Dimwits Division.

John Beaufort, who is tied for 7th in the AL with a .295 batting average, took Los Angeles hurler Jeremy Valentine deep in the bottom of the fifth. His 3-run home run put the Yinzers on top, 6-5. In all, Beaufort had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Beaufort.
