Desert Storm Come Back Late to Top Blueberry Bulldogs, 6-2
The Arizona Desert Storm picked up a win at Bulldogs Ballpark, topping the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, 6-2. On the mound for Arizona was left-hander Ronaldo Sardinha. He played a principal role in the triumph. Sardinha, now 14-5, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. Arizona, at 81-65, occupies second place in the Federation League Knuckleheads Division.

Arizona used the timely hitting of Setsujiro Takahashi to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Desert Storm on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Takahashi.
