Brooklyn Loses Again, 5-3
|
Beavers Park was the site of a competitive game between the Brooklyn Knights and Portland Beavers.
Benefiting from Luke Spradley's productive game, the Portland Beavers downed the Brooklyn Knights, 5-3. Spradley hit 2 home runs for the Beavers. Tony Orellana wrapped it up, recording his 35th save.
Oscar Hernandez, who is tied for 3rd in the AL in extra base hits with 69, came through for Portland with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth. The second baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Hernandez.
The slumping Knights have dropped 6 in a row.
