Kyiv wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jamie Conway, falling to the Arizona Desert Storm, 2-1. Conway threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The Desert Storm now have a record of 82-66.

Arizona took a 2-1 lead on Ben Potgeter's 30th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Potgeter hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kyiv pitcher Jamie Conway visibly frustrated.

"Every play was important. Every out was important," said Desert Storm manager GM Fetty.
