Pizzas Earn Win with Late Rally
The Detroit Pizzas picked up a win at Estadio Azteca, knocking off the San Antonio Aztecs, 3-2. Starting pitcher Chad Edwards was a big reason why. Adam Dodson, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Detroit raised its record to 90-61 with the win.

Danny Gutierrez, who is tied for 4th in the AL in hits with 187, had a direct impact on the outcome. Gutierrez contributed a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put Detroit up, 3-2.

"This was a nice win for us," said Gutierrez. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
