Archies Win Streak Reaches 10
The St. Louis Archies had to overcome a big game from East Haddam designated hitter Wilson Rangel to leave Team2 Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning 5-3. Rangel went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. The winning pitcher was Mike Pula. He tossed 107 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. The third-place Hyenas have lost 4 consecutive games.

Ernie Muratalla had a big 2-run double for the Archies in the bottom of the third inning. With St. Louis leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Dan Coffman and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Archies ahead, 4-1.

"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Muratalla told the St. Louis Citizen.
