The Arizona Desert Storm picked up a win at Desert Storm Stadium, knocking off the St. Louis Archies, 4-2. Starting pitcher Ronaldo Sardinha played a key role in the triumph. Sardinha picked up the win for Arizona, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 15-5. Esteban Vega finished the game for Arizona and earned his 5th save.

Ben Potgeter, who finished 5th in the FL in RBI with 119 last year, took St. Louis hurler Shuhei Ouchi deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Desert Storm on top, 4-2. In all, Potgeter had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 5.
