Sugar Kings Top Aztecs, 2-1, Behind Tae
|
In a tension-filled contest between the Havana Sugar Kings and the San Antonio Aztecs, pitcher Kwan-wuk Tae was superb. The Havana right-hander, who led the AL in ERA with 2.24 in 2037, spearheaded his team's 2-1 win. With the win, Havana goes to 74-83, while the Aztecs fall to 67-90.
Tae, who dominated for Havana, earned the victory to move to 10-14. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 7. San Antonio batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
Tae told a Havana Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
