Victors Again, East Haddam Win Streak at 8
|
In the 6-2 East Haddam win over Arizona, the impact of Matt McCauley was substantial. McCauley, who is tied for 3rd in the FL in triples with 5, was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Dan Coffman got the win, improving to 6-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 9 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 1. Today's win puts East Haddam at 69-88, while Arizona falls to 86-71.
With East Haddam leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, McCauley hit a fastball from Jake Butler for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Hyenas ahead, 4-0.
