The Kyiv Cossacks wiggled past the Arizona Desert Storm, 6-5, in 10 innings at Kyiv Grounds. The win was highlighted by the performance of Kyiv pitcher Zachery DeShields. Kyiv reliever Evan King picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Terry Donohue took the loss. Arizona is 3-3 after the defeat.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Kyiv. That's when Noah Abitia hit a solo home run off 26-year old right-handed pitcher Terry Donohue to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"It took some blood and sweat, but we got what we were after," said Cossacks manager Boris Lahutin.
