Saskatchewan pinch hitter Lance Adams was sensational. He went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Sudbury beat the 92's, 8-5. Sudbury reliever Nelson Gonzalez picked up the win, upping his record to 8-4. Mario Martinez absorbed the loss. Sudbury goes to 94-63. The win puts them 17½ games up in their division.

Had Jacob Jeffries not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Jeffries hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Blueberry Bulldogs.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Jeffries said. "We did a good job of that today."
