|
Sudbury starter Josh Freeland pitched well against the Osaka Takoyaki at Bulldogs Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Dan Bowen, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The win puts Sudbury at 91-67 this season.
Kevin Bale helped out the Sudbury cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a solo home run. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk.
In comments to the Sudbury Bulletin, Bale admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
