Chicks Sunk by Red Storm

The Lansing Red Storm scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Memphis Chicks at Ballpark of Atlanta. Lansing pitcher Vicente Tejeda held his own in the contest. Tejeda picked up the win for Lansing, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 9-15. The save went to Sergio Bahena, his 3rd this season.
Jordan Gonzales had a big run-scoring triple for the Red Storm in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Lansing leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a changeup from Gordon Krajancic, who is tied for 6th in the FL in quality starts with 19, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Storm ahead, 3-1.
"We found a way to get it done," Tejeda said.
The Red Storm now have a record of 50-110.
