Rhome Wins Round 1

The Rhome Rhavioli bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a Round 3 championship.
Rhome downed the Can Tho Cobras 4-3 tonight at Can Tho Park, to take the Round 1 4-2.
"It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Ricardo Pinilla, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the CBD Rookie League."
For the series, Pinilla had 9 hits for .529, with a .636 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.
The Rhome Rhavioli don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Long Island Ducks - Melbourne Aces series. Long Island leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
