Tacoma Tops Kansas City
|
This is the time of the baseball season when grown men are reduced to tears. This year, the Tacoma Oilmen were shedding tears of joy and the Kansas City Hepcats those of sorrow.
The Oilmen topped the Hepcats today 4-0 at Oilmen Field and locked up their 1st CBD Single A World Series championship, winning the series 4-3.
"To come this far and leave empty-handed is not easy," said Kansas City manager Paul Strzelczyk.
The Oilmen finished the regular season in the Sub League 2 West Division with a 62-14 record, ending up in first place in the division standings.
