Arlington Advances to Round 2
|
Dave Sullivan wore out opposing pitchers en route to being named Round 1 MVP.
The star's Arlington Trappers defeated the Great Lakes Loons by a series score of 4-2 to advance to the Round 2.
Arlington won the final game by a 2-1 count in front of a raucous crowd at Trappers Ballpark.
Sullivan hit .318 with a .483 on-base percentage in the series, while also adding 3 home runs, driving in 9 RBI and scoring 6 runs.
"Just trying to do my job, that's all there is too it," said Sullivan.
The Arlington Trappers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Albany Polecats - Concord Blue Devils series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
