Round 2 Goes the Distance, Nephi Prevails
It was a rousing finish to the Round 2 at Threshers Ballpark today.

The Nephi Threshers sent the Portland Pickles home for the season with a 3-2 win in the decisive game of the series.

The Threshers took the series 4-3. Up next on their schedule is the Round 3.

Hauling in the MVP trophy was Nephi third baseman Mario Sauseda. His numbers included a .296 batting average, 6 RBIs and 4 runs.

"With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Round 3," he said.

The Nephi Threshers will play against the Kinsale Fisherman in the next round. Kinsale won their series against the Flint Coney Dogs 4 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
