The Buffalo Buffalo knotted up the Divisional Series at The Greenhouse today, thanks in large part to starter Vinny Zavala. Zavala quieted the Detroit Pizzas, enabling Buffalo to grab the 5-0 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Zavala was in the zone all game. He frustrated Detroit hitters while giving the Buffalo 8.1 innings of quality work. Zavala threw 125 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 17 punchouts.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Zavala.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Pizzas Ballpark in Detroit.
