The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs topped the St. Louis Archies, 7-3, in Federation League action at Team2 Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sudbury pitcher Siu-chung Chieu. Chieu, now 7-7, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The Federation League Birdbrains Division-leading Blueberry Bulldogs are 43-31.

Josh Deere had a big 2-run home run for the Blueberry Bulldogs in the top of the third inning. With Sudbury leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Spencer Hay, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in wins with 8, and punished it. The result was his 18th home run of the season, which put the Blueberry Bulldogs on top, 3-0.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Deere.
