Carvalho Lifts Blueberry Bulldogs to 7-1 Win
The Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs beat the Arizona Desert Storm, 7-1, at Desert Storm Stadium. Sudbury third baseman Michel Carvalho had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Sudbury is 36-42 and Arizona, with the loss, 40-38.

Sudbury used a clutch at-bat from Albert Bencomo to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blueberry Bulldogs ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Carvalho, "one at-bat at a time."
