Chicks Trip Hyenas, 3-2, in Extra Innings
|
There was never a dull moment in an extra-length game between the Memphis Chicks and the East Haddam Hyenas.
The Memphis Chicks took Mark Foglesong's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Russwood Park. The final score had Memphis getting past the Hyenas, 3-2, in 19 innings. Foglesong over 8.2 innings allowed 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 9. Memphis reliever Mike Robinson got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Bill Delaney was tagged with the loss.
The two teams entertained the Russwood Park crowd with some good baseball.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Joe Jankowski to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
This loss makes it 7 in a row for East Haddam.
