Red Storm Snatch Late Win
Due in large part to shortstop Devin Weathers, the Lansing Red Storm sunk the St. Louis Archies, 13-5. Weathers went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winner was Vicente Tejeda, who threw 108 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 10 hits. The Red Storm improved their record to 36-44 with the win over St. Louis.

Lansing used the timely hitting of Damian Salazar to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Storm on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Weathers told a Lansing Daily reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
